Salon Service Group Tax exemptions and Resources
Products that are bought to sell in stores may not have to pay sales tax. To buy something to sell it again, you must fill out the resale certificate for your state.
To fill out the form, you’ll need your registration name and number, as well as your SSG customer number. Have your SSG invoice or statement, as well as your sales tax permit or licence, ready before you start.
Salon Services Group Return Policies
GENERAL PRODUCT RETURNS
Within ninety (90) days of the invoice date, you can return products that are new, unused, and able to be sold again for a credit on your Salon Service Group account at the original purchase price.
All returned products must be in good enough condition to be sold again. This means they can’t have any changes, stickers, price tags, markings, cracks, damage, smudges, damaged boxes, etc.
Items on sale, items that have been discontinued, seasonal or boxed sets, packaging that has been discontinued, and hand sanitizer cannot be returned.
If a product is broken, the manufacturer’s warranty applies.
HOTHEADS EXTENSION WARRANTIES
Within ninety (90) days of the invoice date, you can return new, unopened hair that can still be sold and get a credit on your Salon Service Group account for the original purchase price.
Credit will only be given for damaged hair if the manufacturer says it is damaged. The manufacturer will decide how much credit to give based on when the hair was bought.
All manufacturer warranties on Hotheads hair products are void if the hair is cut, coloured, toned, treated with chemicals, or washed with purple shampoo.
Special orders can’t be changed or returned because they are made just for you.
SHEAR WARRANTIES
Shears may be returned within 10 days of the invoice date for a credit on your Salon Service Group account. The shears must be in new re-sellable condition and returned in original packaging. cannot accept damaged shear returns.
HIKARI SHEARS: Salon Service Group is unable to return or exchange Hikari shears if they are defective, at any time. All defective claims must be handled by Hikari directly. They will either repair or replace the shears at their discretion.
APPLIANCE WARRANTIES
New, unused, re-sellable product may be returned for a credit on your Salon Service Group account for the original purchase price within (90) days of the invoice date.
Electrical professional tools that have been opened/used may be returned along with the original packaging within 14 days from invoice date for a credit on a Salon Service Group account. A 20% restocking fee will be deducted.
All claims for warranty or product defect issues on electrical tools after ninety (90) days from the invoice date must follow manufacturer warranties for repair or replacement of defective product. Salon Service Group will handle all tool warranty returns directly, unless noted otherwise below.
MANUFACTURER APPLIANCE WARRANTIES
usmooth Tools: 1 year. If the tool is retailed to a consumer, the warranty is 18 months to allow for sell through time.
OTHER
If you get products that are damaged, broken, or shipped wrong, you should contact the Salon Service Group Customer Care Department within 14 days of getting your order.
SALON GUEST RETURNS (Consumer Returns) Salon Service Group doesn’t take returns from customers unless the item is broken and it’s been 90 days since the invoice date.
Within ninety (90) days of the invoice date, you can return broken items and get a credit on your Salon Service Group account for the original price. The return policy for each salon will be used to handle all returns from salon guests.
